DPI simply means "dots per inch". The greater the number - the
higher the resolution (clarity of the photo) when printed. Most images
from cameras are naturally going to have a higher DPI/resolution for
printing. It is preferred that the image be of higher resolution/dpi (a
larger image that will print clearly on paper - not just look clear on a
computer screen). If the image has a low dpi (dots per inch) when
printed, it will appear "fuzzy" and not very crisp even if the inches
are the same as a higher dpi image. Not unlike the difference between
standard definition versus high definition on a television. The more
information (dots) per inch, the more clarity in the image.
Bottom line - If you are unsure of the dpi, just
send the largest size you have available and we will scale the image
down accordingly.
