First of all, we apologize for the delays. It's been very humbling, embarrassing, and extremely challenging getting the publication released when we assumed we could.
There are multiple factors that have caused (multiple) delays in launching the print/mail edition of PREPARE Magazine. It is certainly NOT for a lack of passion, focus, or effort.
PREPARE Magazine has been in "pre-launch" as we have worked to get everything in place for our official launch. Because of the rapid growth of our subscriber base, we felt it was vital that we build a very strong foundation and also on a quick-expansion model. It is necessary in order to accommodate our explosive growth pattern. We wanted to make sure once we officially launched we were able to expand without break-downs.
While it is certainly annoying and not what we had planned or hoped, it is essential that we build for the long-term.
That fast-growth expansion model requires that we find quality designers, printers, editors, and also back-ups for each area. We wanted to handle as much as possible "in-house" so that we can better facilitate the operations and properly manage the outcome. As a small publishing company, getting all the right operational systems in place provided some unique challenges that, quite honestly, we were not anticipating. We continue to work through the challenges and are becoming stronger in the process. After all, isn't that what preparedness is all about anyway?
We have also been at the mercy of the rapidly changing marketplace demands. The need we are passionate about addressing, continues to expand. As the expansion grows, so does the need.
Bottom line... we are getting a firm foundation in place so that our launch will be successful - and our growth will be sustainable for years to come. Our subscribers are very important to us, so we demand that the quality of our magazine improves with each edition so we are able to meet the needs. We are building a vibrantly expanding publication, and that requires that we have a firm and stable foundation.
Thank you all for your support and patience. We are glad you are with us on the Preparedness Journey!
